Description: OSKAR BISTRO SUKHUMVIT SOI 11 Oskar is a casual bistro offering quality comfort food at great value for money. An ideal place to start a night on Sukhumvit 11 thanks to its clubby vibe.► THE BUZZ: Two houses down from Bed Supperclub, Oskar Bistro is a restaurant with a slightly clubby vibe. It certainly packs a lot of things under one roof: a hearty menu, a long list of cheap drinks and a live DJ spinning music that makes eating dinner feel like you’re swaying slowly on a dance floor.► THE DECOR: The vibe here is of a pub where you can actually bring your girlfriend on a date, with fuss-free decor and whitewashed walls. Our favorite part is the prominent bar in the middle of the room with its very bling’d-out Oskar sign that look likes it used to belong on the side of one of J-Lo’s handbags. There’s also a charming porch outdoors with lots of tables for two. Inside is a combination of proper sit down tables, by the DJ station, and some high tables by the bar.► THE FOOD: The predominantly French ownership behind Oskar means that some southern French dishes make their way onto the menu, alongside hearty American dishes and comfort food. ► THE CROWD: Mostly a pre-party crowd of farang and Thai groups and a few couples on dates. Things do get busy, though, and stay so throughout the night.
